It felt so good to spend some time together as a family this weekend and get out of the house. I’m not sure if we’re the only ones, but my husband and I tend to be a pair of homebodies on the weekend… especially lately! We’ve just been so exhausted from our busy fall schedules that all we want to do on the weekend is veg-out. Anyone else feel me on this one??
But, this weekend we decided to venture out and take the girls to a local pumpkin patch to help us pick out some pumpkins to finish up the decorations on our porch and celebrate our 6 year anniversary. And it was worth it! Finley had a blast looking at all the pumpkins, feeding the animals and playing in the straw-filled playhouse. Of course, little Houston was a bit too small to join in on all the activities, but she enjoyed the ride and hardly made a peep the entire time.
Obviously, there was no fancy night out on the town or expensive dinner to help us celebrate 6 years together. But, there were plenty of giggles, lots of pumpkins and day filled lots of love and family time. And, my husband and I agreed we wouldn’t have wanted to spend the day any other way. We feel so blessed!
